Democrats push reckless and costly partisan bills as COVID relief

Over the past two weeks, Democrats have continued to pass blatantly partisan bills instead of working across the aisle to find bipartisan solutions. The most egregious example of this was the rushed $ 1.9 trillion progressive wishlist shamelessly disguised as COVID relief.

What the media won’t report is that we still have nearly $ 1 trillion in unspent funds from previous COVID legislation. To accumulate more on our national debt while this money remains intact is completely irresponsible. If passed, our total spending on coronaviruses will reach $ 6 trillion. Folks, that’s more than the GDP of all countries except China and the United States.

Talk about reckless spending!

Behind this high price are many provisions that have absolutely nothing to do with COVID. In fact, only 9% goes to funding public health. But that didn’t stop President Pelosi from including a $ 140 million exclusion for a Silicon Valley metro. After defeating a Republican amendment to redirect that money to student mental health programs, Pelosi ultimately withdrew his California project from the bill. I guess she finally realized that partisan pork spending doesn’t do much for struggling small businesses, students who suffer months away from the classroom and speed up vaccine distribution.

The equality law is unfair

Don’t be fooled by the title of the “Equality Act”; this liberal legislation is unfair, unfair, and penalizes Americans for their beliefs about biological sex. We cannot punish individuals for their moral values just to appease “awakened” politicians.

Under this bill, biological men can compete in women’s sports, virtually guaranteeing that biological women would no longer have the chance to succeed in sports or get much-needed scholarships. This creates a whole new set of challenges for young women to achieve their goals.

Does this sound like you?

I proudly voted against this federal drift that violates the constitutional rights of millions of Americans in the name of equality and political correctness.

Electoral reform needed, but not this dangerous bill

After the 2020 election raised countless concerns, it’s clear that reform is needed to restore public confidence in our election, and understandably Democrats believed that a grand government approach would meet the challenge. Their so-called “Law for the People” is just another Pelosi takeover aimed at nationalizing our elections and benefiting progressive politicians.

Tired of attack ads? Under this act, the federal government would help fund them. Allowing publicly funded campaigns through 6-to-1 funding means that for every $ 200 donation, the federal government will match $ 1,200. The government has no place in filling campaign coffers.

In addition, this single mandate removes states from their ability to make decisions on registration and voting practices. I don’t know about you, but I’d rather let Alabama choose what works best for us, and not have liberal California election laws imposed on us.

Free, fair and precise elections are the foundation of our constitutional republic. Yet, through this dangerous bill, Democrats are encouraging ballot collection and universal postal voting, and discouraging voter identification.
