ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (CW44 News At 10) –The 24e Florida Annual Crafts The festival on Saturday November 20 and Sunday November 21 is a destination for tourists and local visitors to enjoy a fun and visually exciting Florida weekend. Collectors and art lovers alike will be enchanted by the creations of some 100 of the country’s best contemporary crafts artists from twelve states. There will be artist demonstrations, food trucks, craft beers and an arts activity tent for kids. The two-day festival kicks off the holiday shopping season and features handcrafted artwork in ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media and wood.
Florida Craft Festival 2021 will be located just outside the Florida CraftArt Gallery, at the crossroads of Central Avenue and 5th Street in downtown St. Petersburg. The Residences at 400 Central – Red Apple Real Estate is the presenting sponsor. The Duncan McClellan Gallery is the Kids Activities Sponsor and kids will enjoy creating crafts taught by members of the Tampa Bay Surface Design Guild.

Judge Bill May, the former executive director of the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, will award $ 10,000 in cash prizes to artists on Sunday morning. Interested craft collectors can join the Collector’s Circle and commit to purchasing artists’ works ahead of the festival, presenting a plaque to selected artists, and receiving other valuable festival benefits. The Florida CraftArt Festival will showcase the talents of eight emerging artists with support from the DMG School Project, as Florida CraftArt engages and mentors the next generation of fine craft artists. Emerging artists receive a free booth, photographs, postcards and the opportunity to show and sell their work. Artist sponsors are Mark Anderson and Keith Bucklew, Concierge Financial Organization, Michael and Andrea Graham, Kathryn Howd and Edward Rucks, Tyler Jones, David and Becky Ramsey, Elizabeth Reilinger and Barbara Sansone.
Festival opening hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
