Lampasas Spring Ho is July 5-11

the Spring Festival Ho de Lampasas returns Monday through Sunday, July 5-11, with lots of fun and live music to celebrate the “healing” sulfur springs the city is known for.

The event features concerts by Cory Morrow and William Clark Green, carnival, games, vendors, fireworks, and more.

Concerts in the square take place from 8 p.m. to midnight on Friday July 9 and Saturday July 10. Morrow performs on Fridays and Green on Saturdays. Tickets for the Friday show are $ 20 at the door, while the Saturday show is $ 30 at the door – both cash only. No more fees for BYOB events. Glass containers are not allowed. Bring lawn chairs.

MONDAY JULY 5

  • 6:45 p.m. – live music by Kyler Dean in the auditorium of Lampasas High School, 2715 US 281
  • 7.15 p.m. – opening ceremony in the auditorium
  • 7:30 p.m. – Miss Spring Ho Pageant in the auditorium

TUESDAY JULY 6

  • 6:00 p.m. – Tournament 42 at Putters & Gutters, 2341 US 281; registrations start at 5 p.m.
  • 6:30 p.m. – Hayloft Party at the Ruth Eakin Outdoor Theater at WM Brook Park, 100 EE Ohnmeiss Drive

WEDNESDAY JULY 7

  • 8-10 a.m. – Kiddie Fishing Derby at WM Brook Park for ages 5-12; sticks and worms provided or bring your own
  • 9:15 p.m. – fireworks in the park

THURSDAY JULY 8

  • All Day – Arts & Crafts Fair, Concessions & Pony Rides at WM Brook Park
  • 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. – Lampasas County Fair exhibits at the County Annex, 409 S. Pecan St.
  • 6 pm-10pm – carnival in the park; bracelets cost $ 20
  • 7 p.m. – dance competition at Putters & Gutters

FRIDAY JULY 9

  • All Day – Arts & Crafts Fair, Concessions & Pony Rides at WM Brook Park
  • 8:30 am – Diaper derby at the bandstand in the Place de la Cour square
  • 9:30 am – pet parade at the corner of Second and Live Oak streets; registration at 8:30 a.m. and judgment at 9 a.m.
  • 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – County Fair exhibits at the County Annex
  • 10 am-4pm – “Cheers to 50 Years of Spring Ho” exhibit at Lampasas County Museum, 303 S. Western St.
  • 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. – activities for ages 3 to 10, including a petting zoo, at the Gavin Garrett soccer field
  • 6 pm-10pm – carnival at WM Brook Park; bracelets cost $ 20

SATURDAY JULY 10

  • All Day – Arts & Crafts Fair, Concessions & Pony Rides at WM Brook Park
  • 7:00 am – 10k, 5k and 1 mile run at the Hancock Park Golf Course Lodge; arrival from 6 a.m. to 6.45 a.m.
  • 10 am-4pm – “Cheers to 50 Years of Spring Ho” exhibition at the museum
  • 10 a.m. – Grand parade around the Place du Palais de Justice
  • Noon – kayak races at WM Brook Park; registration at 11:45 am
  • End of noon – carnival in the park; tickets only
  • 1 p.m. – puck throwing tournament on the soccer field; registration at 12:30 p.m.
  • 1:00 p.m. – Reconstruction of the Horrell-Higgins shooting in Courtyard Square
  • 3:00 p.m. – Water sports and cardboard regatta at Hancock Springs Pool

SUNDAY JULY 11

  • All Day – Arts & Crafts Fair, Concessions & Pony Rides at WM Brook Park
  • 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Spring Ho exhibition at the museum
  • 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Spirit of Second Street celebration with jazz music, cars, food trucks and more at 404 E. Second St.
